Worship has such a formal liturgical connotation in our Western Judeo-Christian minds. It is associated with some religious duty or ritual in which we are to act in a way not very much like our normal life. Depending on our particular denomination, we are either to suppress all our emotional impulses and remain quiet in solicitude or we are to abandon all sense of decorum and celebrate wildly before the altar. What has brought us to the point of setting worship apart as a “religious exercise”, a form or art to be practiced, honed, perfected in to a well oiled efficient machine regardless of our desire for reverence or jubilation. These are the things we will talk about here.
Worship, is it not a complete lifestyle, holistic, incorporating every area of our life?
